ok i finally upgraded win7 from using XP for the longest time. but now i don't see Hyperterminal in Win7. i googled and everybody say use Putty instead. all the support guys i work with use putty too. ok i finally jumped to putty today and had to use a special serial to usb cable and configure com4 for putty use. when i'm in putty it works but if i open another screen and come back to putty it just freezes up. i had to close putty and run it again and it's fine. i know even hypertermial times out too but putty seems to either freeze or time out way too fast. i tried the install version and portable and same thing. any clue to addressing this? or is there another better alternative than hyperterminal or putty? |

Agree with fin, I use securecrt exclusively. Supports everything, logging, scripted login, tabbed connections, scripting, one click copy/paste. |

securecrt cost $ but i don't want to pay for something i can get for free, not the keygen way. i'm talking about another software i can download such as the one i'm using now, tera term. which works great! |
