Life Magazine has produced some of the most beautiful images throughout history, and I am grateful for the collection I have archived. The black and white photography of that era is incredibly telling and I for one can stare at these pics for hours, taking in several details from the images background and just absorbing and sharing the moment. Hats off to the photographers at Life Magazine! Love this shot. Keeping his balance while firing a jab to the body even though his back foot comes off the ground. I wish I could see about 10 seconds of video around this punch.![]() |

NO TROLLING. But seriously my uncle was the first Irish British middleweight champion back in the 60's and fought sugar ray Robinson. Sugar ray was 43 and past his best and I'm not trying to argue Mick Leahy 's skill over anyone else's just had saw the SRR thread and it reminded me of His career and that I never shared on the UG.

I think SRR is easily top 3 PFP maybe the best easily best of his era. Here's Mick Leahys boxrec link http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/Mick_Leahy Please no trolling him he died 2 years ago and was a great guy I don't want to debate his skills just sharing. Ty.

He's the GOAT for guys we have video on, and we don't even have what people argue is the best of SRR. He was borderline perfect in the ring and his fights have eternal staying power. That was an artist, a fighter and an athlete. I wish there was film of Greb for comparision. |
