Cool, I love it! BTW, there is actually a LEGIT Shendokan affiliate down there --he teaches out of the "Rio G Spa". (I'll get you the info so you can prominently feature it on your site.) |

If you didn't mind, could you mention a little about Evolve? It a team or what? I believe Gordo /Dennis teach out of Evolve in Rio --is that correct? I'm going back to Singapore in the spring and I understand there is an Evolve there --which blows my mind because last time I was in Singapore, the highest ranking BJJ guy was a Purple Belt! Just curious, thanks! |

Hey Shen, I train at Evolve in Singapore (taking a break to heal a torn rotator cuff at the moment). Great facility, great instructors (Leandro Issa, Zoro Moreira, and many more BBs from Brazil). And it's not unusual to go to randoori and roll with Aoki, Rafael Dos Anjos, even Rich Franklin. Dan Henderson is here training now. Anyhow, if you want to know more, send me a note.

GM Shen, Gordo's & Evolve weer once linked but not any more I believe Gordinho (Gordo's brother) was a business partner with Evolve when they launched, but as far as I know that ended when he came back to Brazil last year. There is no link between the two gyms now. |

Thank you for the info BeachesBJJGuy & Hywel! BenBJJ, I'm American so I don't have a super great grasp of geography --Is Oz close enough where I could walk, or would I have to take a cab? |

Nova Geração is already written, I'm just waiting on prices and a timetable before posting it... Will email Toco tonight I live 10 min from Braga's academy, will do that ASAP. Been wanting to check it out for some time Alves is back in Rio in the 5th Nov and I'm visiting him soon after... Been to his academy once but it was last year Manimal I've heard of but don't know him, will find that out ASAP. And I'm def going to check out Martins. I won't lie he was a new name for me - thanks for the heads up :)

Fabricio Martins is an Oswaldo Alves 6th degree BB. I heard he and Renzo used to street fight back in the day. I didn't train there, but did drop in with a BB friend from there, but class wasn't on. Seems like a tough, old school academy. On the main road of Copa. |

shen - Take a tuk-tuk, but make sure you have an agreed rate, they are notorious for stinging the tourists. |
