When I plug it on on livestrong.com calorie counter, 8 ozs of bison is basically the exact same as beef, macronutrients-wise. This make sense?

I might depend on the cut. Are you specifying that? If you are comparing tenderloin or something beef is pretty lean as is. Some of the round roasts too. |

that is retarded. ground meat depends on the percentage of the ground...80/20 bison is obviously fattier than 90/10 beef and vice versa. |

You should be cutting sugar; not fat.

Not cutting fat, but between all the beef, fish, fish oil, coconut/olive oil, nuts, seeds, and all other sources of fat I consume on a daily basis, sometimes I need to find leaner sources of protein as not to go overboard on fat intake Even healthy sources of fat, like any other macronutrient, can be over eaten. I just always assumed that bison was a leaner source of protein. ... you know what they say about assuming.

it is leaner:
bison http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/lamb-veal-and-game-products/10628/2
beef

both the data is on ground and grass fed (raw).
per ounce, bison is about 2 grams less fat, with 1 gram more protein with a few more vitamins as well :) |

You need to keep in mind with ground meats that the fat content is pre-cooked. Once it is fully cooked the fat content is much less than before. All ground meats are considered the same way Regular 75/25, Lean 85/15, Extra lean 90/10 |
