Been looking to re-watch some of my favourite documentaries on a variety of topics relevant to my interests and thought i would share. Hey, Cool links. I think Bigger Stronger Faster is a MUST WATCH! I watched the "I want to look like that guy" one. It was just okay. Some interesting points although (IMHO) the guy could have followed a much better program and made much more dramatic results. His experience was classic for average guys who get on a Body-Building routine and then over train etc. Even though he had pretty good results, I think they could have been better. Looking forward to checking out some more of these. Thanks, TAKU |

Thanks for the links bro. Just watched Food Matters and would recommend that for everyone. I'm pretty new to living healthy, fasting and juicing and that documentary just further validates the benefits from nutrition. Would love some opinions on the matter. |

There is some nutty shit and bad science in food matters (Colonics? Really, are we still talking about that bullshit?) but the overall tone is great. A lot of our health problems can be fixed with a fork. Fat sick and nearly dead is similar in that it's a really long way of saying go on a liquid crash diet and then eat healthy after. Right message though. Also watch 'Forks over Knives', which again is the right message but comes off as an advertisement for veganism and the china study. I'm not trying to be overly critical of these docs as I watched and got something from all of them (Forks is the best of the 3). Bigger, Stronger, Faster is awesome and makes some perfectly logical points about steroid use. I'm gonna watch some of the others, thanks for posting and this will bump the thread back up. |

Taku, what programme would you have recommended for the guy from "I want to look like that guy"? I must admit I thought that he could've looked better although he did pretty good.

I watched "I want to look like that guy", I agree that his training was quite old school and the cutting he did not healthy. I dunno about Taku, but I'd have had the guy on 3-4 days a week with more rest and thrown in some PWO carbs during cutting so he wasn't so weak/miserable. Regardless of that and the mediocre production quality you gotta give it to the guy for staying on point and giving it his all (aside from the burrito incident). That average joe n00b had more dedication than a half (or more) of the guys on internet forums worldwide. |
