the batteries would be kind of tough, there are some on the market but they don't have a good reputaion for the most part. As far usb charging, have you looked into the hand crank radio/charger combos? |

I did some research and found that Goal Zero Guide 10 Plus kit has a good rep and can charge AA/AAA and phones. Looks good for about $120. Solar panel folds up to book size. |

Chinavasion.com has roll out solar panels for unbelievable prices; i think there was a rolled up 30 watt panel for $120. |
