How long will Overeem last at Cains pace?

overeem has 3 rounds of gas... physioligically that much muscle cannot likely last more than 2 rounds without gassing. You can watch the werdum fight and get an idea of what's gonna happen.

Cain is gonna destroy him.

Everyone is saying Overeem is devastating in the clinch... sure against K-1 fighters who have no grappling experience...

Against werdum how devestating was overeem in the clinch? Cain is gonna destroy overeem. JDS was a much better fight for the reem and still JDS would have beat him.

I think Overeem will study the last fight and come up with a game plan: Circling and not moving backwards, keeping his damn hands up, staying off the cage. I do think that cardio will be a serious factor if Overeem doesn't do major damage in the first. You have ignored this user.

I put Overeems chances at landing some serious shots as high as Cain's getting inside on him. Underestimate Cain cannot stand and trade with Overeem like he did with JDS. It was JDS's hands that are dangerous, Overeem 8 different things to hit Cain with. You have ignored this user.

SinCityHustler Member Since: 1/1/01 Posts: 11434	At Cain's pace, he's exhausted after 1 round. By round 2 he's really sucking air and on the verge of being put out. The key for Overeem in this fight is to fight it at his pace, not Cain's. How he accomplishes this is by staying on the outside and picking off Cain when he comes in. Easier said than done, IMO. I don't see how his cardio can be better with all that additional muscle mass as a HW. But no doubt he can win in those first minutes! After that it's all Cain, no doubt. You have ignored this user.

While I don't disagree, if Cain hits Overeem with that same right hand that he hit JDS with, Overeem is done.

JDS has an incredible chin, Overeem doesn't.
