Sorry OG, no pics....at least I warned.

FRAT version: Started dating girl, girl is going on vacation for a month to Thailand, girl claims that were not bf and GF and doesn't want anything serious before her trip. However wants to date me, and then become serious after she gets back.

I hear out of this "you wait here while I fuck people internationally."

I started dating this girl mid October. Started out us fucking consistently. We then would go for dinner, smoke weed, listen to music and go out etc. She asked me out but I said I just wanted to be friends because I just got out of a relationship and she was a nut case. So we decided to be friends and take it slow. So I go to her Xmas party for work as her date and we get drunk, talk about dating and decide that it's cool to say we're dating. I still never introduced her as my GF though, but GF has been dropped a few times.

Now, she is going on a trip to Thailand for a month, with her friend who happens to be a guy. Whatever right?

Well on NYE someone comes up and asks who she is and was like "oh this your GF?" I was like uh, ya. And she smiles and says hello etc.

We're driving home and then she starts talking about if we're bf and GF or just dating and I'm all like "WTF?"
She then says that she didn't expect for this to happen and wasn't planning on having a serious relationship before her trip to Thailand and was hoping we could be more serious maybe after and until then just "date".

What I heard was "you wait here while I be a slut and let's date after I have my fun"

Instantly she back pedals and says "that came out wrong and I feel bad" sent me two texts the next morning saying she is sorry, feels like a total dick and that she hopes she didn't make it sound like she doesn't want to date me and says she intact does want to date me.

So OG. Am I seeing this right? I feel she just wants to place me on hold until her return and fuck some yugoslob.

I say you go off and do your own thing for a month and let her do her own thing and see what happens when she's back.

She didn't want to go out cos she didn't want to feel guilty for what she is with out a doubt gonna do out there. Then she realised it works both ways and you'd be free to do what u want while she's away so she backtracked, hoping you'd commit while she's off 'having fun'.

You have no future with this girl. However, who cares?

What she has communicated to you is that you should not take her seriously. But does that make her your enemy? In fact it does not.

So here's what you do. Don't get your emotions wrapped up in this. Just be cool and do your own thing, focus on your own goals, etc. Keep her as a friend with benefits, booty call, whatever. If you get serious with another girl then you can ditch this one, but for now don't burn any bridges, just realize you shouldn't be making future plans with her either.

Trust me - I'm 34, and looking back at when I was 24 I wish I hadn't gotten mad at girls who hurt my feelings a little bit here and there. They were just dumb and trying to figure life out just like me. If I hadn't let my pride get in the way I could have kept more friends with benefits and banged a lot more than I did.
