There were no time limit matches. The young guys couldn't explode into positions hold someone and win. Would we see older champions who could pace the match

The young guys might not be able to explode, score then stall But they would be able to test my old man stamina by trying to out-athlete me for half an hour before actually thinking about any subs

Don't think it would be boring given time for people mindset to change to sub only. Probably see lot more flying techniques, and a want to end matches quickly. Stalling is the worst thing you can do. Sweeps wouldn't be as big a deal anymore.

I think it would more or less remain the same. Bruno and Caio would be there at the top of galo, Guillerme Mendes, Ary, Henrique Rezende at pluma, Rafael and Cobrinha at Pena (they finish pretty much everyone else inside of 10 min), Lucas Lepri and JT at leve (the best finishers in that division), Marcelo in medio (kron and victor estima up there too) pattern would continue through the heavier weights. The other competitors that might really benefit from sub only would be ryron and rener and Fabio Gurgel. Just my opinion.

Best guy in grappling right now is 32, old enough to fight masters if he wanted.

I think current champs Leandro Lo and Otavio Souza might have trouble winning Mundials if it was a no-time limit/sub-only format. |

When you say no time limits do you mean 1) no time limits, no points, submission only? or 2) no time limits until a certain amount of points or a submission are reached? World of difference between the two. Regardless... I think the 80% of the winners now would still win at any format. |
