Prior to Invicta FC title fight. See Bec get KO'd in her debut (sorry Bec), finish other fights in under a minute, and generally just kick ass. All these fights occured in Australia, where MMA is still budding - let alone WMMA. Bec is a real pioneer and the step up to a title fight in the States was huge. So effing proud of you Bec. Rabid Bunyip -RowdyBec - I've got time at the moment for two :)
My first fight where I got blasted into a coma I had the best weigh in day :) At this time there was hardly any girls fighting MMA in Australia so I took a fight two weight classes above my own. I was walking at 119lbs & the fight was at 132lbs so on the way to the weigh in's (3 hour drive) I was smashing in all sorts of food & fluids to try & bridge the gap just for the scales!! So many toilet stops & never again do I see myself eating donuts, pasta & pizza on the way to a fight LOL :) Straight after the fight I asked for a re-match & it was accepted face to face... but months went by & nothing?? I ended up calling her out on social media for it & her reply was to block me on Facebook & her cult leader pulling all his fighters from my husband's promotion... the only one that exists in the entire state they're based in LOL!! Her mother frequantly comes to my fan page & bad mouths me... good laughs are had :) My fifth fight (last in Australia) saw me in tears twice in a 2 day period LOL :) I was making my first apperance in my current state of Queensland & I was fighting an opponent from Egpyt who'd just represented her country in the Olympics for boxing. On weigh in day... literally 12 hours before I had to get on the scales I get a phone call from the promoter telling me that customs aren't letting my opponent into the country due to VISA issues!! As he is telling me this tears are forming in my eyes because I knew I was on Invicta's radar & I'd already cut most of my weight, had bills to pay, sold over 100 tickets & trained hard out for 8 weeks!! For about 4 hours there was a cwazazy scramble to find a replacement on 24 hours notice with some cwazazy cash being splashed about!! Finally about 2 hours before the weigh in grappler Christina Tatnell stepped in to fight me. As you'd see... I was far too much for her & I felt really bad after that fight, almost sick!! I'll admit I cried like a little baby backstage because it didn't feel nice at all... just had to do my job :(
