Just what I'd expect from the Gracie bros, a bit long-winded but definitely a good message. LI would/could never put something so genuinely positive out there, good thing they're not in Maryland or else they'd be taking all of LI's direct business (definitely as far as casual practitioners go). |

I am so proud I chose Royce and the Gracie family as my heroes all those years ago.
Trained under the Behrings, and they're fucking awesome too.
Tom Callos also displayed eloquently in just a couple of quickly deleted posts how awesome a true martial artist (BJJ especially!) is.
The moneymakin' shakin' bakin' pyramid scheming always dreaming about medal achievin' ways of some other crazy master blaster disasters...Not so much. |

hmmm havent finished the video yet(only ten minutes in) and this is kind of a different discussion... im glad they posted that video but personally, parts rubbed me the wrong way. i remember idolizing those guys when i first started training there. i definitely still respect a number of things about them. however, as time passed i felt very disillusioned when they would regale the class with stories of street fights and bringings 2x4s to battle with friends. not to mention over the years hearing stuff like rickson throwing water bottles blah blah. but yeah thats a different discussion and nonetheless im glad they posted that video. i agree with a lot of points. |

While Rener's smooth, infomercial-esque patter often grates on me, this is a solid message and in stark contrast to the message being conveyed by TLI. |
