Overeem lost because he got hit on the side of the head hard while he was bent down and he lost his equilibrium. From there, he never regained full consciousness and Bigfoot just punched his chin like 50 times, which would drop any fighter when you are able to land that many clean shots regardless of glass jaw or iron chin.

Overeem lost because he went into the fight cocky as hell, not taking Bigfoot as seriously as he should have.

Glass jaw, equilibrium shot, what difference does it make? In the end, he lost because he made a dumb fucking move underestimating his opponent.

This is heavyweight. Everyone has power to finish with one shot.

He lost because he showed up to a three round fight with two round cardio. Silva just blocked for two rounds and lit him up in the third when he couldn't stay mobile anymore.

He doesn't have a glass jaw, he reacts poorly to damage and has a hard time recovering.

He lost bc a 265 lbs man (probably 290 fight time) punched him in the head really hard.

Do you think its a coincidence that every HW fighter has a "glass jaw"? Its bc they are HUGE and hit like fucking trucks.

There are numerous HWs who have never been KO'd, despite taking considerable damage, and who likely never will.

False statement is false - face the reality, damage and Overeem do not mix. Don't take much of a reflection on his LHW and even early HW career to put that together.

It's not about his glass jaw, it's about how he reacts when he's stunned which kind of equates to a glass jaw.

Once he takes a shot and is a little dazed, he shuts down, tries to back up with no real intelligent form of defending himself.

This.

Reem got clipped with something at the end of the rhino charge at the start of the 3rd. He started wobbling around then Bigfoot got him clean and that's when Reem backed up to the cage and Bigfoot teed off. Once Reem feels any danger he folds up. His brother does it too. Phone Post

He lost because he was being cocky and fought with his head exposed against a guy who hits hard and is a good fighter. Phone Post

Yes, it is purely just a coincidence that when the first major punching exchange happened that he started backing up and running away like he has always done.

Reem lost because his ego didn't let him believe BF was a legit threat. He took several hard shots and actually stayed on his feet longer than expected, and no one's chin, Bas included, would have stood up to that assault.

Congrats to Bigfoot. The man is a human monkey wrench fucking up everyone's plans, defying odds and kicking ass.

Half way thru rd 2 it became apparent to me that Bigfoot was just working defense waiting for the inevitable reem gas out.

Between 2 and 3 foot's cornerman said something to the effect of " he(reem) has done his thing, it's your time now".
The way he said it made me believe that this had been the game plan from the jump.
I had a feeling as soon as the bell went Silva was going to surprise him.

Coming off the peds and getting murked like this isn't a good look for reem. He will now cheat like crazy or be stuck behind a huge mental road block. Phone Post
