The way YouTube have it set up is that they send out a notification in a personal message. Maybe this could work here to?

I can imagine that there are people on this forum that are very active and would rather avoid getting their inbox "spammed" with notifications. What if you add some sort of option that could be turned on or off when it comes to notifications?

Just thinking about ideas that could work.
