I have some business in BC (in the islands) through most of July. I wanted to spend a week or two in the area, end of July through beginning of August. So far I'm booked to do a course in Riverview Mental Hospital for two days. (Go ahead, joke.) Other than that, I was thinking: - Juan de Fuca trail - Tofino - Bellacoola - Vancouver (what to do???) - Coast Mountains Probably will go down alone in my Subaru, with mtn bike in the trunk. Any ideas where I should go, where I should stay, where I should eat, how to pack, etc...? Mainly I see my time being spent on two "classes" of things 1) Outdoorsy things (biking, hiking, boating, etc.) 2) Cosmopolitan things (restaurants, BJJ, etc.) because--no offense, but I honestly don't see Canada as the place to go for culture and history. And I can say that because I'm Canadian. |

i am also planning a trip there as well this year anyone have some advice. Are the cannabis cafes still open there?? |

Hiking to Mt Robson. Its just north of Jasper. Jasper's a cool little town to hang for a day or two. |

GaryG, um, you are aware that Jasper's in Alberta, right? BC was awesome. Cannabis cafe's are in full swing on the downtown east side. Try Melting Point on Commercial Drive. Very nice little shope. They have those German vaporizers for a clear, safe high. Also there's the Grouse Grind, great restaurants, and lots of good training. Gastown, Granville St., Granville Island, nude beach, etc. Wanna move there. :-( |
