you're not giving elvis much of a chance, I was hoping he would be the favorite against a somewhat unknown. Is it possible for him to be bet enough to become the favorite? |

Hell no Sakara is a top notch striker , who showed some of his skills vs faircloth hes gonna be bet heavy right up until fight time...imo i bet Elvis at 340+ , so im enjoying the under dog approach with him i dont think he has a great chance, but his odds were well worth the shot |

I want to bet on Sakara, but at +340 I have to take elvis, and hope he wins on the ground. |

i only threw little bit on elvis, enough that he will cover my other bets if he comes in, if he loses, its not a big deal i know, it isnt a smart way of betting, but i do like him a little bit, he has good subs, and i havent seen Sakara on the mat thats why i bet him but i would have to agree with you, it isnt smart to bet someone if you dont think they can win i dont like his chances that much, but @ +350 he was worth a little risk |

I think it's a close fight, I can see either of them winning in my mind. I felt SLIGHTLY stronger towards Sakara, but not enough to take him as such a big favorite. I bet small amounts on most fights just to add some excitement while watching. The only fight I'm going to put real money on is Randy/Chuck. |

Here's something 2 think about. A few years back I went on a really shitty streak betting boxing. I was losing really close bouts that were decent size dogs. Anywhere from +200's to +600's. I was pulling my hair out because on paper they were all livedogs. Afte a while I came to put all these type bouts in a category. Live Dogs That Cant win.' Now , not saying they cant win....... Elvis at +300 mathmatically is a 25% chance to win. Looks pretty good. If they fight 4x can Elvis win 1? You would think so. But, they arent fighting 4x. They are only fighting 1x. And in that 1x I think Sakara is going to lump him up pretty good. Elvis is a live dog that cant win in my book, or I would need to see a +500 or better to pull the trigger on him. With that said watch Elvis win. IMO you will save/make more money long term passing on a bout like this than betting it. Its not always about the good plays you make, but the bad ones you dont make. Elvis was just used as an example. I dont think Sakara is any kind of a lock. Damgaard vs Gatti the other night was another example of the live dog that cant win. I was really tempted. But in the end, I passed and glad I did it. |

"Its not always about the good plays you make, but the bad ones you dont make." profound because it's just that simple. |

upon further review and after considering some very good opinions here, I have decided Sakara is the right choice. I didn't know he had a ground game to go along with his good hands. I also forgot that elvis tends to get cut up pretty easy, and a GNP stoppage may result in this fight. I see the light and thank you all. "Live Dogs That Cant win" Do you find you see this more in 1on1 sports where they compete only a few times a year as opposed to team sports that are playing a few games a week? |

Yes, I dont study team sports much. I can only speak particularly for boxing and MMA. You have to pick your spots. |

you should offer an online degree for betting, joey... like the phoenix institute... my favorite part is quoting joey to all my office mates and acting like I'm this knowledgable... "guys, you don't know what live dogs are? no wonder you are still here"... |
