Andy Johnson has agreed to join Everton for 8.5 million pounds. Great signing for Everton, imo. They desperatly needed a big time goal scorer and I think AJ can be that. Things are looking much better for my Toffees next season now that Beattie has a decent running mate Thoughts? |

They've got a new penalty taker. |

yeah, they got Howard on a season long loan, thank god we won't be subjected to Richard Wright anymore And the criticism of AJ getting most of his goals on pk's really doesn't hold that much water for me. If you watched Palace games during their Premiership campaign AJ was the one drawing most of those penalties. He causes loads of trouble up front and should be a great addition to Beattie |

I don't rate him myself. Very average. |

He is a GOOD player. You have to remember the team he was playing for. Of course he was going to look good. For Everton, it's a good signing. For a team like West Ham, I'd be a bit underwhelmed.... |

Had 1 good/lucky season in the top flight. So did Michael Ricketts/Marcus Stewart/Kevin Phillips. |

"Had 1 good/lucky season in the top flight" he's only really had 1 season in the top flight period, how bout giving him a shot to duplicate that success before you write him off "You have to remember the team he was playing for. Of course he was going to look good" I don't see how that matters, he was the main option for Palace, as he will be for Everton. If anything it shows how good he can be with less talented players around him. With players like Arteta, Cahill and Beattie supporting, he should perform even better. And he scored over 20 goals against Premiership competition, sounds good to me |
