I was thinking about how it'd be nice to have a whole forum devoted to conversation between LEO's from all different agencies etc. As I read through the threads on here so far I've realized, we don't really have that much to talk about huh? BTW, I'm a PA in Yuma Sector and wanna transfer to San Diego Sector. Consider this networking. |

I am still surprised that we got this forum at all. I think most would be as most of the LE related threads on the main forum usually turn into a "cops suck" theme. I'd like to see this work but it's proximity to the main forum concerns me. |

Karl, Any luck on getting a transfer to SDC? I know Campo Station for one has been decimated with moves up to the northern border and with the opeining up of Arizona. I would think it wouldn't be too hard to get over here. |

I'm sure I won't be going anywhere anytime soon. I'm starting to settle down here. I came in at a good time. Our station was at about 15 when I got there in 05 and we're at around 90 now and get topped out around 150 or so (projected for 250 but I doubt that's gonna happen.) Anyway, I'm senior to quite a few now, bought a house etc. |

That's funny. We have a guy here. He's been here for about 10 years. Came in as a pilot with a lot of flight time in a few different areas. Started putting in for the pilot positions in Yuma but was rejected for various reasons even though he had nearly doble the flight experience of those that were getting the job. Apparently he applied numerous times and they kept saying no for whatever reasons. He was on the verge of quitting and got the sup position. No, once again, he's been all but promised the position, and if I'm not mistaken should have been in Yuma by now, yet is still here. According to him it's completely political here. |

It's less political now that the Customs Air/BP Air merge has taken place (at least with regards to hiring, IMO). That's about the only good thing I can say about the merge, but whatever. If he's dead set on staying there, he may be fucked. If he wants to go to another sector, they're hiring like hotcakes. And straight off the street, too. |
