Law and Order style, a lot of handheld steady cam. With more concerned toned dialouge, would they cross over from fantasy to drama? |

It depends on the character. If it was Spiderman or Daredevil, I'd argue that they're already a kind of action/drama hybrid. Batman would be best for this kind of experiment, but it's hard to get away from his action side. If you could consign him to the periphery and have more focus on secondary characters (a la the comic GOTHAM CENTRAL), then you'd be able to do this, but just changing shooting style doesn't necessarily change genre. -knee |

BattleStar Galactica is a current and excellent example of taking a fantasy and making it fell like a drama via the handheld shots. Even the space flights are done with CGI that is cut to resemble hand-cam work and the effect is awesome. Very immersive. |
