Make sure you go to the second round, Its the round in question!
The Swedish commission thought it was just to score this round 10-10 and thought the ref was just in this standup. Ive been in this business for some time now and Im alittle blown away. I guess they thought it was ok to have one of my opponets training partners as a judge as well. I wanted that strap for my son! Guess you have to kill a guy over there.
My protest was denied.

Awful.
I presume Horn's appeal was denied too then since Rich was the one who was obviously ripped off.

You won that fight Rich!
Robbed by the judges, it is very clear to most of us.
One of the judges was actually your opponents training partner?
Look forward to your next fight as always man, you made this fight exciting.

I watched it on HDNET knowing the Dec. and still couldn't believe it. I think there should be some sort of US appeal process too when fighters fight in countries with bullshit like this.

That was one of the worst stand-ups I've ever seen.
That said, scoring the second round 10-10 wasn't completely unreasonable. My opinion is, rounds should be scored 10-10 if there's no clear advantage to either fighter (kind of like what they do in K-1). If I HAD to give someone the round, I would have given it to Rich.

Rich,
Do you have each of the judges' scores for the individual rounds?

Everyone who has watched the fight and has a reasonable amount of common sense knows that you won that fight. It sucks that nothing can be done about that terrible decision. As far as winning the belt for your son....I'm sure if he follows in your footsteps and has dad for a trainer, he will aquire his own collection some day!

That sucks, man. Especially since the stand up lead to Madadi getting back in the game in R2. I can only quote what I wrote last week:
ziggystardust - Unfortunately, I doubt the protest will lead to anything. A ruling can only be reversed if an "evident mistake" has been committed and that's difficult to point out when it comes to subjective scoring. They will be very hesitant to set a precedent when it comes to overruling judges.
On the other hand - I can somewhat see how it could be scored as a draw, but not how Madadi could get the final nod after that.
It's worth to note that rounds are scored as draws more frequently by Swedish judges. It's not up to K-1 standards, but still. The one score card I know about for Madadi-Clementi (Bobby Rehman's) had the fight at 9-10, 10-10, 10-9.
As for the ref, Marko Gyllenland, he's Sweden's most experienced and I doubt the Clementi stand up was anything but a fuck up from his part. Superior usually uses UK ref Grant Waterman and he was missed that night.
(Edit - corrected round score.)

I've judged before and round 2 isn't 10-10. That's a 10-9 for Clementi. Good fight too, some nice scrambles in there.

First round was all Rich, I thought the second round was pretty close? The standup was lame, but if you accept that, I think the round was pretty close otherwise. I didn't see the third round, but even if Reza won that one, wouldn't it be a draw?

Good fight Rich. I thought the standup was b.s.
That whole fight night just had a piss-poor air about it. I did not expect such a ghetto/redneck offering from Sweden.
