Very respectfull people in our industry tell me with my body structure, and frame of 5'4 in a half, with a 63 in. reach, and walking so light. Should I really be fighting in the flyweight division? I'm walking at 134 to 137 right now. I feel GREAT, and i am improving daily guys. It would be an absolute DREAM to be able to train FULL TIME. No excuses! (everyone knows how i feel about excuses) But, there are explanations sometimes in our sport to explain and give reason to why certain things happen. All i know is one min. i'm in a cage fighting doing what i absolutely love! And the next min. I'm in a suit and tie selling f ing life insurance door to door cold calling. Kinda hard to compete at the highest level when, as a professional athlete you can't focus 110% on training 12 months out of the year, 6 hours a day, 365 days a year! I don't even take sundays off. I would give my left leg to be able to train full time. But, you gotta win for this to happen!

You should do the obligatory cut down to "cutting range" and see if you feel like youre at a deaths door, and if not, go for it man!

If you gave your left leg I think you could probably make 115. Maybe even lower.

If you are 134# hydrated, with proper nutrition and proper rest you can definitely make 125#.

Seek out someone knowledgeable to monitor your diet and your rehydration.

Rehydration, post weigh-in meals and fight day meals are the most important part of the cycle and the most over-looked.

Good Luck!

Or do other things. . . very simple things, that will better the lot of all fighters.

Or, post on a third party website owned by private individuals.

Mind bottling.

How much did you cut for the 35 bout? Looked like a shitload on the scale..

munn - 155, 145, 135... 125?

doing this for your own good and with no malicious intent at all

have you tried seeing a psychologist or psychiatrist???

You do realize that if he had gotten into the fight game now he would likely be fighting at 125 to begin with. Its not his fault those divisions didnt exist/had nobody in them for years. He HAD to fight at 155. He probably never should have been there.

Yeah, that doesn't look like someone that walks around on the weight.

If you're really 134-137, you should be able to make 125lbs easily. Do it safely and good luck.

Do the names Tiki Ghosn and Sho Nuff The Masta mean anything to you? I applaud your drive but I'm not sure cutting again will get you back in the UFC. However, if you're not hurting yourself, it doesn't hurt to try. 125 will need fighters and you have previous UFC experience. Although I expect more UFC fighters to go to 125 from 135. Phone Post

This

GargleMyEnemaWater - One of the "non excuse" excuses for the last fight was how much th cut to 135 took out of him. (That, and the horrible life experience of being forced to check out of his hotel room early!!)

Great idea for a guy in his 40's, who, no offense, is just never getting a 3rd shot at the big show, to put his body through that.

If you are walking around @ 137, 125 should be cake. I fight @ 125 and just cut from around 143 two weeks out, earlier this month.
It wasn't a bad cut at all either...
