This poor guy really wanted to be famous all along. He takes EVERY opportunity to market HIMSELF before some of his fighters.
Nice seeing him pose like a "bad ass" in countless magazines as well, that's what the fans want to see, NOT the fighters!

Some people are all too willing to go full retard just because they hate Dana White...

This is wrong.
You don't see Roger Goodell or David Stern on stuff like this.
Which head of an empire do you see doing these things?
Oprah.
Dana is far more Oprah.
Not even Vince McMahon puts his mug on stuff now. He markets his talent.
This is why fans can't pick out a UFC champ in the airport.
But Wal-Mart is nothing but Sons of Anarchy fans who think their wife is Gemma Teller and they are Dana White.
It caters to that denominator.

In Dana's defense, he does have sensitive skin, he pisses and whines anytime anyone says any thing critical of the UFC or any thing positive about another promotional entity or fighter outside of Zuffa.

@ McBottery,
Don't "hate" the guy. Just read some of the comments JeffersonDarcyChoke stated, its exactly how I feel.
You are supposed to market your fighters, the ones that MAKE you money, not yourself.
And I happen to be a tad bit more educated than you know but we're in the internet where people spout off at the mouth without repercussions.

If that company chose to give Dana money to have his picture on their can, what is the problem? He should have declined the opportunity to promote the organization (which is his JOB), in hopes they would ask a fighter to replace him?
Does that really make any logical sense? Please find something more reasonable to complain about.

So you're saying if you were in his position and magazines and other companies were willing to throw money at you to get your picture on their products you would say no? I doubt it.
I highly doubt Dana White is paying money to get his face on that shaving cream, like you are making it seem.

@ CindyO How do you know he didn't?
He's shown to be a narcissist. So the UFC Magazine "asked" Dana to be on their Premier Issue?!
When has a so called 'president' of a company become the mascot of its own team?
Put the spotlight on the FIGHTERS. This is why the dude doesn't like "characters" or guys with 'personalities' because they'll take away from HIS shine.
@ McBottery Someone with a good business acumen woudln't. Its like David Stern approving a jersey with his name on it or Goodell wanting to take part in an NFL commercial. We get that they're 'running' the show so sit the fuck down and let the men that are making you money take center stage.

EckY - Does Vince McMahon even market himself this hard?
No professional sports organization pushes their president in front of their athletes to the public harder than the UFC does Dana White.
No matter what the CindyO's of the world say (and I like Cindy), this whole mania of Dana as the most publicized and marketed face of the UFC was not by accident. This is a conscious decision by Zuffa to push Dana and the UFC brand ahead of any single fighter who competes for them.

possibly actually, because the magazine is produced by a third party under license, not actually the UFC itself

This could be a signpost indicator of why the UFC will eventually be overtaken or fail prematurely.
