Summary
Fresh from his Eisner Award-winning efforts on The Hunter and The Outfit, Darwyn Cooke now sets his steely sights on The Score, the classic Richard Stark Parker novel from 1964. ?Parker becomes embroiled in a plot with a dozen partners in crime to pull off what might be the ultimate heist—robbing an entire town. Everything was going fine for a while, and then things got bad. Considered one of the best in the Parker series, The Score is the perfect vehicle for Darwyn Cooke to pull out all the stops and let loose with a book that has all the impact of a brutal kick to the solar plexus!.

Props to the unknown scanner in Empire for the digital rips.

If this is your first exposure to Darwyn Cooke's Parker novels adaptations, please check out the following first:

Parker: The Hunter (Eisner Award Winner)

Parker – The Outfit (2010) (Darwyn Cooke)

Although you don't have to read them in order, I feel it would help you appreciate Cooke's work as he gets progressively better with each adaptation.

I believe Jason Statham's new movie Parker should be based on this Richard Stark (pen name for Donald Westlake) novel.

thx Torque and paw!

My bad - Statham's movie is not based on this story but another story, but if you read this and the other 2 Parker GN's posted you will get a sense of what Statham's movie is about

Mentioned in one of the Parker threads, there were movie versions of the character Parker prior Statham's protrayal

The other movies' protagonists were not named Parker but were based on the character as well as the stories from Donald Westlake writing as Richard Stark

mel gibson's 1990's payback
lee marvin's 1960's point blank
fred brown
robert duvall

there was a movie that featured an actress in a character modeled on Parker.

don't have time to name all the movies or look up the wiki... on one of the other threads i linked to the wiki page on Parker the character which has the info
