Wanderlei Silva returns in February

Brazilian legend Wanderlei Silva expects to return to the Octagon in February 2010, he told Fighters Only earlier today.

“I think my next fight will be February next year,” he said. “Maybe later, but I expect February. I don’t know my opponent yet, but I will find out next month.”

Silva last fought at UFC 99 in Germany, losing a split decision to Rich Franklin in a fight that is in the running for Fight of the Year 2009 in the World Mixed Martial Arts Awards.

“It is such an honour for me to hear that,” Silva said, when told that fans had nominated the bout as one of the contenders for the award. “I have the best fans in the world, I owe them so much."

I thought that was the plan?Though he did look to be affected by the cut to 195 so maybe not?Would be interesting to see who'd be left at 205, maybe Thiago Silva? Forrest, despite them training together
