UFC Hall of Fame inductee Mark 'The Hammer' Coleman spoke exclusivley to CageReport as he gets ready for his scheduled bout against former UFC champion Tito Ortiz at UFC 106. Despite being 10 years the elder in the bout Coleman maintains that in Mixed Martial Arts you are only as old as you feel "My age isn't holding me back at all, I've been working out in the gym and I'm as fast and as strong as I've ever been. Most of these other fighters, fight around three times a years where as I've paced myself." said the UFC veteran.

'The Hammer' acknowledged the importance of bout claiming that a win will surely move him up the ladder in the light heavyweight divison and one step close to the title "This without a doubt is one of the biggest fights of my career, you never know what the UFC are going to do and Tito is a big name - a win here could put me in line for the title".

Coleman then went on to explain how joining Xtreme Couture helped further develop his all round MMA game "You know we got great trainers out here, especially Shawn [Topmkins]. They've got me doing things I've never even thought of, now I know that I need to train my ground if I want to make it in the UFC's light heavy weight divison" Although Coleman expects the fight will be decided on who has the superior wretsling abilities "I think the fight is going to be largely decided on who can secure the most takedowns and dominate on the ground".
