The Ultimate Fighter 10: The Aftermath - Episode 3 recap

Click here to watch Amir Sadollah, Roy Nelson and Dana White talk about:

    Kimbo Slice:
Dana - "Every time I make decisions on who's going to be coaches or who's going to be in the next season of The Ultimate Fighter, there's no real process to it. Obviously we're trying to think of: How can we make next season exciting? How can we make next season better?... and Kimbo just popp'ed into my head. I put that challenge out there to him and I reached out to his manager and we started talking. It was really that easy. We probably talked for 3 weeks and we got the deal done."

    Roy Nelson's training habits:
Dana - "So you're not training with a major camp right now?"
Roy - "No. Well yeah but no."
D - "What the f*ck does that mean? Are you training with a major camp or are you not?"
R - "Well I have Marco, Amir Sadollah's striking coach and I'm helping Todd Duffee out; training at my house in Vegas."
D - "Why don't you hook up with like a Couture or anybody?"
R - "Usually when I go to those places, I have to teach. I don't want to teach"
    D - "You're over there teaching Couture?"
    R - "Of course… that's how I roll."
D - "I think that hurts you as a fighter, to not be with a major camp. Not be sparring and training with guys that are going to push you everyday."

    Roy Nelson's attitude:
Dana - "I don't remember being pissed about the Kimbo stoppage. Roy had him down in the first round and was hitting him. Then Roy jumps up and looks at me like "What the f*ck Dana?" Like I'm up I'm over there telling the ref, "Don't stop this fight". Like I have input or something. That was my first beginning of getting f*cking irritated with Roy Nelson. Then he runs over and asks me to go get him a f*cking Whopper. That was my second starting to get f*cking irrated with Roy Nelson. But we have no input what the judges do; we have no say what the judges or the referees do."

    Rampage's retirement:
Dana - "Rampage is a friend of mine. I love him and I'm going to work through this thing with him. I don't want to see him lose this money."

At least they confimred that the "conversation by the pool" was referring to Kimbo's fight in EliteXC, when Roy Nelson said "you just gotta get him in the crucifix position, you know like HE was."    they WERE NOT talking about a fight between Schaub and Kimbo!

Dana- "Kimbo sucks! the only way he can get into the UFC is through TUF!"               "Hes not a mixed martial artist BJ Penn could beat him!" *Elite XC crumbles* Dana- "Quick someone call Kimbo for Tuf!" *Kimbo fights Roy* Dana- "Kimbo can possibly Knockout Roy Nelson" *Kimbo loses* Dana- "we will sign him anyways" ---- haha good ole Dana.

? thats odd. He was asked this same question 4 months ago at 2:20 of this video-who contacted who first in regards to Kimbo?Dana- Im not sure how it got started and it went so long.Seems Dana at first didnt want to make it seem like he was the one that went after Kimbo at first.

I'm sorry, but Dana's comments about the alcohol are more than a little disingenuous. These guys have to live in an environment where there's no TV, no internet, no music, no books, no magazines, and they can't leave or they'll get the boot from the show. And somehow if someone decides to get shithouse a lot in this environment it really indicates that they have a drinking problem.Whatever.

He caught my attention in the IFL. My thoughts were similar since he was on Ken Shamrock's team (and we have seen his "coaching" abilities). Big Energizer Bunny, IMO. Cindy
