Matt Serra vs. Frank Trigg set for UFC 109

by John Pollock | source: thefightnetwork.com

UFC welterweight Matt Serra spoke to The Fight Network on Friday morning and confirmed that he has signed on to fight Frank Trigg at the UFC 109 card on February 6th 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Trigg is coming off a loss to Josh Koscheck at UFC 103 this past September where he was knocked out by Koscheck in the first round. Serra has not fought since this past May where he dropped a split decision to Matt Hughes in the co-feature of UFC 98.

Serra also stated he would very happy to fight in the future at a catch weight of 160 or 165 pounds if the UFC were interested in promoting more catch weight bouts.

lol at a Bush league fight. So Trigg was a top ten mw less than a year ago. He signs with the Ufc loses one fight and now he's bush league?

This is a bush-league fight. More evidence that the UFC is putting on way to many shows.

If this card happens, this might be the best card the UFC had in a long time.
