Nogueira vs. Velasquez rescheduled for UFC 110

Ask and ye shall receive.

“In February I’ll be ready to fight when they ask me to fight. In February I think I’ll be in shape. I’d love to fight in Australia. If they put me on the card, I would love to fight there,” Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira told recently, addressing his return from a fourth staph infection in the past year.

He was initially slated to face fellow heavyweight contender Cain Velasquez on Jan. 2 at UFC 108, but the infection derailed those plans.

Despite several reports that UFC 109 on Feb. 6 was under consideration, has confirmed an report that UFC 109 is not likely. Sources close to the bout informed that UFC 110 in Sydney, Australia, is expected to host the bout.

It looks like Nogueira gets his wish.

The addition of Nogueira vs. Velasquez would give the UFC a strong twin bill headlining its down under debut. Wanderlei Silva on Wednesday confirmed plans to “kick the Michael Bisping ass” in Sydney.

Haseman vs. Sinosic is a perfect type of fight that I want to see on a UFC ppv. fuck that bull shit up and comer 'well rounded' TUF fighter that ends up getting cut a year later. I want to see legends and all school fighters go at it every once in a while. I grew up in the 90's watching every Rings event I could get my hands on, and I always thought Haseman was a dangerous mo-fo. Good to see Elvis back, even though he holds the worst UFC record of all time.

^ Nog should be alright. He said he would of had 18 days to train for Ufc 108. So that means he's going to be recovered long enough to have a full training camp. I don't think we'll ever see the same Nog that showed up when he faced Mir. Even Nog admitted that it wasn't just the injuries that held him back verse Mir. Nog just wasn't in the same shape as he was during his Pride days.

I pray Nog is 100% after two bouts with staph infection. I'm looking forward to this fight.

Because Heath Herring is one of the hardest fighters to finish in the HW division and the only time he has tapped to a submission is against Nog.

Why didn't he tap Herring in two of their three fights? And he was actually able to outwrestle Herring at all times as well.
