CBS will air its second Strikeforce event on April 17 from the Sommet Center in Nashville, Tenn.

Jake Shields will make his first title defense against Dan Henderson in a 185-pound championship bout. Light heavyweight champion Gegard Mousasi is also expected to appear against Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal in a second championship bout offering. Herschel Walker has been called to fight again on April 17.

Fedor Emelianenko, the world’s No. 1-ranked heavyweight, will not appear on the April card.

1) Greg Nagy's cousin Gary Wink. Herschel's future record: Wink-Wink-Nudge-Nudge.2) Lashley vs. an inflated Andy Wang.3) Frank Shamrock vs. Cung Le II.

"3) With all their top stars on CBS in April...who is left to have a solid card for the Fedor vs. Werdum fight?" Thomson, Bigfoot, Lashley, Rogers, Jacare, Cung, Frank, Smith, Diaz...plenty of options when you only really need 4 fights.

I have some questions. 1) Who will Herschel Walker be fighting? 2) What will the fourth fight be? Lashley vs. Rogers or Melendez vs. Aoki? 3) With all their top stars on CBS in April...who is left to have a solid card for the Fedor vs. Werdum fight?

It's pretty clear Fedor isn't going to fight in May unless Strikeforce puts a PPV together (can he fight on PPV?).What the hell is going on here?

What other options do they have? If CBS wants it that day and has been counting on it, changing the date to accommodate Fedor may ruin a lot of other plans. I'm sure they're counting on Henderson to draw more than Shields (though I think you meant in case he has a boring fight), but Strikeforce has no footage to promote him to those who don't recognize him.

When he first signed with SF it was said that Strikeforce and CBS/Showtime would split his purse, 500K each. Not sure what M-1 also pays or if this is still accurate.

I'm a little surprised CBS would want to put on a show with Shields headlining.
