Why would they fly Trowbridge and Cecil out to Indiana to judge? They are notoriously bad. Is it the Indiana commission that makes that call or the UFC?

You should indicate who voted for which fighter on the split decisions - otherwise your info is a bit half-assed.

Not if the inept judges score a round the wrong way in 29-28 call!!!!!!!FFS you are actually AGREEING that they fucked up the score. Let's assume here that the 1 round either way was ultimately not an issue. It STILL highlights that they COULD quite easily get a round wrong that DOES affect the overall outcome."No it's ok that the nuclear technician fucked up because we avoided a meltdown THIS time. Let's just let him continue without pointing out what he did was wrong and just hope it doesn't happen again"

I felt the same way, I was rooting for Dunham at the end of the third but he took about 4 minutes too long to find his range... In a rematch i'd say he takes it but thats neither here nor there.

Sherk pushed the fight 85% of rounds 1 and 2. He only took a break at the end of round 2 to catch his breath. He was bullying Dunham around the octagon and taking him down at will. He made it his fight for 85% of the first 2 rounds. He won the first 2 rounds comfortably. Just because Dunham landed a few strikes at the very end of the 2nd does not win the round for him. Sherk was more effective, he had the octagon control and he won the grappling battle in the first 2 rounds as well. People here are just mad because wrestlers continue to win and they don't like it. If you don't like what you see stop watching it. Wrestlers are not going to stop winning. They are going to win more in fact.

Still think Dunham got robbed. He definitely brought the fight to Sherk even after the bad cut and was relentless in his pursuit of subs and strikes. At least it was a split decision. Sherk showed his toughness too.

On the Bader fight....Bader definitely won the 1st round but the 2nd and 3rd were close to me. So given one dominant round by Bader and 2 close rounds, I could see a 30-27 Bader if the judges score more for takedowns than the guy who moved forward more in the fight (Lil Nog). I think Nog can't be too upset seeing he was gifted the Brilz fight. 2 things that standout though. Bader definitely played it safe and it obviously protecting his unbeaten record. I say feed him Jones next and we'll see what he's made out of. On another note, disappointed that after the fight Bader had to track down Big Nog leaving the cage to give the post fight handshakes. I think Bader appreciated the mentoring he got from Big Nog on TUF and disappointing to see he didn't stick around to congratulate Bader even if he didn't agree with the decision. Maybe he was distracted a little but if not.....kinda shows a lack of class to not acknowledge Bader after the fight.

Does not matter if they scored all 3 rounds for him or not. At the end of the day the right guy won. 2-1 or 3-0 is just splitting hairs.

How can all 3 judges score the Bader Nog fight 30-27?!The judges weigh a takedown far too heavily.

"i felt rog was robbed."He was not. The UFC scores fights on clean strikes, effective grappling, octagon control, effective aggressiveness. Bader won the first round in all those areas and took 3 of those areas in round 2 as well. He did not win the final round but he deserves to get the decision and did."he would get the takedown and do nothing."Well he had 11 fights and was facing a long time veteran who is also one of the better grapplers in MMA. What did you want him to do exactly? Just because he did not finish Nogueira on the ground does not erase the fact that he got him there numerous times against a resisting opponent. Takedowns and grappling are two different things. You can't erase a successful technique because the finish did not come in the grappling after.

All 3 of those guys won their fights 2 round to 1. Some of the judges may not have scored it that way but at the end of the day the right 3 guys won their fights respectively. Caldwell is an idiot if he scored the fight for Dunham and does not understand the UFC criteria. Sherk dominated the criteria in rounds 1 and 2 and deserved to win both. Melvin Guillard also won his fight handily which Caldwell obviously missed. Maybe he was drunk that night?
