There is no way the UFC pays guys like Cro Cop and Anderson Silva 100's of thousands of dollars and the genius CFO of Strikeforce uses tax loopholes to pay European fighters.

Yeah I am stupid. Who I am to say invest money in the young stars on your roster. It makes a ton more sense to pay out money to over the hill superstars and a bunch of no-namers. Gilbert and Diaz will be gone soon due to pay issues and you can rock out to a baby huey, an old American and Russian who fights once a year. /Affliction//IFL

You are correct sir. Its not like they are a foreign company. They would be stupid not to show it as it is an expense for them.

What makes people think that just because it is not disclosed as payroll to the general public, that it means they don't pay taxes on it? It is still income. If Strikeforce cuts me a check for $10K and then a $10K bonus (which is not disclosed), I still have to pay taxes on $20K. Large organizations like the UFC/ Strikeforce still have to file a 1099 for each fighter and I doubt they will risk committing tax fraud just so Marloes Coenen can avoid paying a couple thousand dollars

In this regard, MMA is so far behind boxing. Pay these warriors more.

I think Marloes pay might be so low for tax purposes. Remember Gegard was only paid $2,000 officially for his title fight with Babalu. Although it's certainly possible that Coenen's leverage was simply that non existent when she signed the contract. There are other fighters in SF getting paid peanuts like that.
