i changed the channel during the Askren, Good fight. it was a snoozer. i was disappointed and impressed with the main event. i wanted a 3rd round. I hope they co-promote with SF. even if they keep the belts out of it. i'll settle for 3 rds especially if they are top shelf fighters.

Always wanted to see that. Somebody doing something completely retarded to cause themselves to lose. Not Huerta specifically. Just something to make somebody cry themselves to sleep every night for the rest of their lives.

I agree that fighters need to train wrestling, but I cant see how askren laying on Good was anything but a snoozer. I respect wrestlers and there control but I dont want to see them throw half assed hammers and attmept no whole hearted submissions. After the first round, I read a book thro til the end of the fight.

hahah, so funny to see the scared plebians cowering in fear of the Stud Wrestlers Taking over MMA and beating up their favorite fighters. Don't fight it, just let it happen, Wrestlers will win and if you don't train wrestling you will lose.

lol, I think they felt obligated to buy PRIDE largely because of how much Joe Rogan used to talk about them back in the early Zuffa era. Every single big fight seemed to draw some comparison or tangent about how a PRIDE fighter in that division stacks up vs. the UFC's equivalent. Anyway, it sounds like Bellator might be a free agent again on the TV market, which could make it much easier to make arrangments to co-promote fights with Strikeforce. They could write it into their next deal to allow it, or maybe just loan Alvarez to SF in the interim for some kind of compensation.

Well they're the #3 organization in america, so they have nothing to lose. But I agree that's refresing to see an organization treat the fans with respect. The UFC was like that when they were #2 behind Pride. Then TUF happened and Dana became built like a fighter

If Bellator and Strikeforce could organize a New Years Eve card like Sengoku/Dream Dynamite, I think I would die on the spot. Melendez/Alvarez, Lombard/Jacare, Diaz/Askren.The thing is, they really do have the ability to do something like that. Competing with the UFC, maybe it would be best to band together and announce without hesitation these organizations are here to play.
