Former Bellator Fighting Championships champion Lyman Good, took the first step toward reclaiming his belt from current title-holder Ben Askren with a unanimous-decision win over previously undefeated contender Chris Lozano in a tournament quarterfinal matchup.

Good dominated Lozano for the three-round affair, which served as the featured contest of Saturday night's Bellator 35 event at the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore, Calif. The main card was broadcast on MTV2.

I was too caught up in enjoying the Jara/Spritwolf fight to really judge it, it was pretty damn fun to watch!

Yeah, the crowd sucked at times. I heard a guy behind me say that he was going to boo every fight that didn't have a finish, regardless of how the fight went.

I personally thought Jara pulled out rounds 2 and 3 and deserved the decision over Spiritwolf. Regardless it was an incredible fight. The crowd was absolutely clueless and terrible.

Good night of fights, other than Rosenthal's/Lapsley's (depending how you look at it) screw up. The semifinals will be interesting and next week's lightweight tournament should be amazing! I know Patricky Freire's manager died yesterday, I hope he is able to keep it together and pull out a win in his memory.

The promotions not great, and the SD sucks. But, I love the tourney format. And generally enjoy all the fights, despite the bad decisions and poor stoppages (which are not exclusive to nor under the control of Bellator).
