UFC President Dana White has announced perhaps the most explosive matchup of the early summer, as two welterweight contenders collide in Pittsburgh on June 26th.

“Verbal agreements are in for a battle between two of the best strikers in the welterweight division as John “Doomsday” Howard takes on Martin “The Hitman” Kampmann,” said White.

Great fight. Crazy that both of these guys are on the losing streaks that they are. This fight would be for a title if it was anywhere but the UFC.

War DOOMSDAY!!!!!! I really like kampmann, but howard's striking is better than diego, and his takedowns are strong as well. Going to be an awesome fight!!!

Kampmann gets hit alot on the feet and Doomsday has 1 punch ko power. However, Kampmann has better wrestling than Doomsday. I expect Doomsday to eventually catch Kampmann on the feet after a couple of high paced scrambles on the mat.
