Yes it was, Aldo ate about 40 unanswered punches and was barely defending. Had Hominick turned it on he may have gotten a ref stoppage. Clear 10-8 round

I wouldn't say Aldo was ever close to finishing. He dropped Hominick a couple times but was never close to finishing. And if we're giving 10-8 rounds, yeah round five was def 10-8 for Hominick.

How do you score the two rounds were Hominick was dropped and nearly finished, because despite him dominance in the fifth, he never came as close to finishing the fight as Aldo did.

No it wasnt. Hominick dominated the last 4 minutes but he was on queer street in the first minute.

Hominick's stock just rose; showed crisp striking, outstanding cardio and outstanding heart but with all that said clearly lost the fight 4 rounds to 1. Aldo is still clearly right up with Anderson, GSP, Bones in the P4P best category.
