Nate Marquardt rumored to be in discussion with Bellator


ESPN is hearing from a source inside Bellator, who contends the company actually tendered an offer to Marquardt. In addition, reports indicate Bellator was/is interested in having him compete at middleweight.

Vitor Vianna, Karl Ammoussou, Sam Alvey, and Jared Hess would disagree. I think Nate needs to stay with the UFC, this situation is very similar to Chaels and he just needs to be patient.

 That have like 10-12 good welterweights, but their MW division is only three deep (Lombard, Shlemenko, Baker) so obviously they would need Marquardt more at 185

1. There's a report about Bellator talking with Marquardt about joining their MW division2. Then his first response to that was "Askren!" So yeah
