The Kimbo Slice era seemed to come and go in a blink of an eye, but brace yourself, because it’s not over yet.  In two weeks, the 37-year-old former YouTube sensation, former Ultimate Fighter and former professional MMA fighter will return to the ring as he makes his professional debut in boxing.

Kimbo received worldwide attention due to his impressive knockouts on the street fighting circuit and soon thereafter tried his hand at mixed martial arts.  Unfortunately his fame was short lived as he fell well short of any expectations that were placed on him.  Upon being released from the UFC following a loss to Matt Mitrione, the name Kimbo Slice seemed to be fading away into the darkness, but the internet sensation may about to be embarking on his resurrection.

If anything he will have even less success. He is facing a better class of strikers than the strikers he already could not hang with.

Shit on him all you like, he gave tough fighters a good fight, and fought in the ufc. Man deserves respect.

The guy he is debuting against is 39 years old, 0-1 as a boxer, 5-9 mma; Boxes as a Cruiserweight and fights 205 MMA.That's not even a can, it's a paper cup!

This guy should be back in the boat yard. I'm sure Shaw will find some bums for him to fight and build him up to something he's not as he did before. All the teenage fanboys and TUF noobs will jump on this as they did before and make him out to something he never was or will be, a legit fighter.

I see him crushing a few cans and guys past there prime. prolly running his record up to around 12, 13-0. then they will cash in on him and prolly get him fucked up beyond repair...boxing is kind of a shame these days
