You're looking for some emotion that is not there.  I have no emotion towards Kimbo or most MMA fighters for that matter.  Perhaps you're projecting. Here's a strictly factual breakdown of Kimbo's MMA career.  No opinion, no emotion, no spin, just numbers.  I'll even count the non-pro fights against Mercer and Nelson if you insist, and suspend my disbelief for a second to pretend that some of Kimbo's opponents didn't take blatantly obvious dives. 1. Submits a 40-something boxer with no prior MMA experience in an "exhibition" fight. 2. Knocks out 10-9 Bo Cantrell, who was on a 4 loss streak going into the fight and hasn't fought since. 3. Knocks out a 44 year old, 9-13 Tank Abbott (1-7 headed into the fight). 4. Stops James Thompson, 2-6 going into the Kimbo fight and 2-5 since.  Not even going to mention the reffing in that fight, since we're strictly talking numbers. 5. Loses to Seth Petruzelli, beaten at Kimbo's own alleged strong point in a fight where Seth was asked by promoter to not take it to the ground. 6. Goes on TUF and loses to Roy Nelson, admittedly a very tough matchup for a 3-1 fighter so I don't really hold that against him. 7. Wins a decision vs LHW Houston Alexander in an awful fight where neither fighter does much after both gas horribly in the first round.  Catchweight fight at 215, as Zuffa is trying to ease Kimbo down into 205. 8. Declines to drop to 205, gets a fight with Meathead; a 1-0 NFLer who is the lowest HW on the UFC totem pole at the time.  Gets TKO due to gassing and bad knees, cut from UFC, doesn't fight again.

Shame on you for claiming fixed fights and spinning clear wins into some sort of career where the guy is getting beat up by cans. He lost 3 fights to 3 good guys, there is NO shame in that. There are plenty of people who have done worse and the reactions to them aren't nearly as emotional.

Kimbo's MMA career speaks for itself.  Shame on you if you want to spin it as successfull or respectable.  It was neither.

The point is that you CAN'T make excuses, he beat UFC vets fair and square as a newbie MMA'er. Now you're adding conspiracy theories to bolster your point? That's fucking hilarious. Also LOL @ 'not considered a pro fight'. Neither was his loss to Roy Nelson but I'm sure you're using that against him.    If Kimbo had gas that night Mitrione would've likely lost, he was getting beaten up in the first few minutes of that fight.   Face it, you have to make excuses for Kimbo sucking as bad as you want him to, but the truth is that he had a respectable record for a newbie to the sport. It cracks me up how emotional and insistent the Kimbo haters are even though hating Kimbo is so 5 years ago.

Which TUF alumni?  Kimbo IS a TUF alumnus.  Of his castmates, only 3 are still in UFC.  And I don't think anyone in their right mind could argue that Kimbo is a better fighter than those three.  Especially since two of the three beat him head-to-head.

This. He beat UFC veteran Tank Abbott like a step-child. He beat UFC vet Houston Alexander, the same guy who beat Kieth Jardine. He lost to Matt Mitrione after tossing him around for most of the first round, he lost when he gassed. He beat Ray Mercer, a former professional Boxer who knocked out the former UFC heavyweight champion. Ok, time to make excuses for all of those wins. I'm not saying any of them makes him a giant in the MMA community but you calling him worse the the TUF alumni is just another example of straight hating. He had some good wins and lost to some good guys. He did NOT get beat by any cans.
