Dana White wants Nick Diaz to be who he is, but play by the rules

UFC 137 headliners Georges St-Pierre and Nick Diaz likely will be featured for the next edition of the three-part Spike TV series "UFC Primetime."  Unlike the UFC's frequent "Countdown" show, "UFC Primetime" goes more in depth and focuses on some of the biggest fights of the year.

The only potential problem is Nick Diaz.

"It would be interesting, getting Diaz (and) having the camera following him for more than 10 minutes," UFC president Dana Whitejoked this past weekend.

"It's going to be very unpredictable. I don't ask him to say anything special, to change who he is or whatever, but you've heard me say it a million times: 'Just play the game. Do what you're supposed to do professionally, and this will all work out.'"

"I don't ever ask anybody to not be themselves. I don't ever tell people what to say. I don't ever do anything like that. He is who he is, and he can be who he is. But you have to play by some of the rules. You have to."

In all seriousness to the topic;I would love to see Cesar Gracie's camp in action in fight preperation mode.In all asshatishness to the topic; The brass is worried Mayhem will bust in and steal his vaporizer he is subbing out for the bong. (didn't read and assume the bong joke has already been cracked open) and to continue on that theme, haven't we seen enough of GSP in these prime time thingys? Why not have Page fill in for GSP and pantomime past specials. Surely we have all seen 'Confessions of a Pit Fighter'. He can play a Brazilian, he can play a French Canadian. FFS, you can have Flavor Flave stand in as Craig Jackson and the win writes itself.

Rick Lee and I pulled some really good stuff with Nick for Fight! Magazine.  It's all about who's around him, IMO

He's actually articulate, he just conversationally wanders like most people with ADD. It's funny when he goes off on a tangent and you think he has completely lost his train of thought and is just rambling, then he comes back to the point out of no where. He sounds like me when I smoked too much weed.

I like Nick and think he could give great interviews. The problem is he doesn't know when to stop and let the interviewer ask another question.
