Chris Lytle -

I cannot express how happy and proud I am to know you, call you a friend and mentor.  Your work ethic and gamness were something that we as a gym/team hung our hats on and everyday you made sure we kept to the standards you set.

I know you'll be in the gym when committments don't hold you back but I feel like I need to tell you that I promise you that I will represent Integrated with as much class, dignity and respect as you and the founders have for so long.  I know Im not a posterboy for PC and I'm prone to doing dumb shit from time to time but I will carry your flag with as much integrity and pride as I can. I promise.  I'll teach what I can and continue to learn what I can until this lovely sport sends me packing.

You changed my life for the better and the interest you've taken in my development is more flattering and inspiring than I am able to express right now.  I truly hope to show the world what you seem to see in me and if I can get close to it than I will have outperformed even my own lofty expectations. Enjoy you what you've worked so hard to build and while you're out living the dream, I'll be holding it down.

I absolutely love watching Chris Lytle fight. He's so goddamn determined and tough. It's amazing. The guy is a true warrior and I've greatly appreciated watching every step of his career over so many years. I boxed for a really long time and I remember really wanting to see Lytle do well as they always touted his pro boxing experience etc. I may have seen him prior, but the first time I really remembered who he was when he fought Robbie Lawler. What a brawl. The classic was when he clapped his hands after getting flash knocked down by a Lawler bomb. lol. Such an awesome fighter to watch. I really thought he was going to make a run at the absolute top when he beat up Serra, tapped out Matt Brown and Foster. I'm sad to see him go, but even more appreciative of the absolute emotional WARS that this guy gave us in almost every single fricking fight he had. lol.Mitrione's post is cool as hell... and only goes to show you that Lytle is everything he appears to be. Well said, Mitrione!

Awesome post Matt, you have come such a long way in such a short period of time. You've won me over with your last couple of performances. I consider myself a huge fan of yours. Chris is a "never say die" kinda fighter, though it's sad to see him leave the sport as a competitor, I'm ecstatic to see him leave on a good note on top of the world with his family. Now with all that being said....... GO SMASH THE PISS OUT OF KONGO!!!!!!WAR MEATHEAD!!!
