Royce Gracie wants one more UFC fight, but only with Matt Hughes

There's only one fight he wants, and only one organization that can give it to him. Even though Gracie realizes that time is running short to make it a reality, he hopes to have a shot to avenge the one loss he still thinks about. He wants to fight fellow legend Matt Hughes.

"That's the only one," Gracie said on Monday's edition of The MMA Hour. "I want to be able to show up to the fight. [Last time], I didn't show up. It happens."

Gracie said that the first fight against Hughes -- a first-round TKO loss at UFC 60 back in May 2006 -- was the only time in his career he didn't have his A-game, not peaking on the right day.

"That's the only one missing," said Gracie, who avenged his only other in-ring loss by defeating Kazushi Sakuraba.

CLINTK9 is the same guy that said GSP couldnt win UFC 1 because of the rules and Shamrock's roids. I wouldnt put a lot of effort in arguing with him.

Another thing I didn't think of. It WOULD be enjoyable to watch him made to look like he doesn't belong and ignorant for thinking Zhoo Zhitsu is all you need and that Hughes used Zhoo Zhitsu punches to TKO him.

I think it would be similar to the first fight - a one-sided beatdown. That being said, I still would enjoy watching Hughes maul him again.

Yeah, you're right. I should never underestimate a religious cult. They will dish out money even though their fighter isn't relevant, has no chance to win, cheated in his last fight, lost his last fight in the UFC, believes Zhoo Zhitsu is all you need today, picking his fights like he's the VP, and demanding unreasonable amounts of money. Who cares that another embarassing "freak" fight would make the sport look like WWE? It's all about the deity.

You think it was Hughes that got 600,000 ppv buys in that fight? look that number up compaered to events before it! You think the UG made up even 2% of all those PPV buys? Yeah, but...but Big Daddy, Chris Brennen, Bas Rutten, Ken Flo, and CindyO would be sitting in the audience....so what if there will be 9,000 empty seats?! Those 5 will be there! See that CluntK9? The fans have spoken...it takes more than 5 people to pay for an event. Fresh in their minds is that he is a cheater, coming off a loss, and that he looked like he didn't belong. I don't even want to see him wave to the crowd. Royce's skill level was always inflated, imo. He hasn't been worth watching in many years.
