Shields looked like he had that double leg against the ref, early stoppage IMO.

Out of which 6 were legit, out of which what, 2 were in the top 5 at the time? 1?Shields is in the big leagues where technique needs power to back it up, and the ability to knock people out if you land 200 shots from top control.Wrestlers with hands (the UFC welter division) will make Shields look mediocre every time. Ellenberger exposed him, and the blueprint has been set. His day in the sun ended when he stepped out of the little leagues.Unless the UFC spoon-feeds him opponenets with no TDD, he's never going to string more than a win together.Mad about it?

there is always someone faster, stronger and better. too bad jake wasn't in ufc long time ago. now his streak is gone. ellenberger has his number. i really like jake, he was one of the only pure grapplers making it big.

Two out of the four maybe, IMO Johnson and Diaz pose no threat to GSP. Especially Diaz, he has absolutely nothing for GSP. There are a handful of guys at WW that would beat Diaz. He is overhyped and VERY overrated.......

It's like Shields is made out of teflon, so completely did he avoid any trouble over his eyepoking on GSP. Did he even get asked about it? In that sense, this was karma. But I would take Shields in a rematch.

This win didn't surprise everyone. Shields may have been on a win streak but the wins were very unimpressive. Not unimpressive by who he fought but by how he won. Now look at how Ellenberger has won his last few fights. I made the same prediction for Cain vs Lesnar. Ellenberger and Cain be knocking fools out in the first round and Sheilds and Brock basically being unimpressive.

21 fight streak against who? Nobody's that who. The only big name he has a win over is hendo and that was a decision. Shields is way over hyped!
