Jon Jones said leading up to UFC 135 that he wanted to be the first man to finish Rampage Jackson in the UFC. Jones accomplished that goal, forcing Jackson to tap out in the fourth round of an outstanding light heavyweight title fight, and demonstrating once again that he's one of the best and most exciting fighters in MMA.

"The game plan was to prove I can strike with Quinton Jackson," Jones said afterward. "I think we did that."

It was the striking that gave Jones the advantage for most of the fight, but he ended the fight with a submission, sinking in a rear-naked choke in the fourth round. Throughout the fight Jones was on a completely different level than Jackson. There was no question who the better fighter was.

2 spastics, living together in sheltered accommodation with the same retarded opinion. Too big? Are you actually serious?

Brilliant rebuttal. I'm just not impressed when people keep saying Jones has good striking. It's only his length, he ran scared from Rampage's punches. Jones even admitted it after the fight; "It teaches me a lot about my skillset and things I need to work on. There were a lot of times Rampage swung at me and instead of defending technically, I kind of ran like a little girl and turned my back. I need to work on my slipping and evading, and my comfort in the pocket". That made me like him a lot more. I'm not a Jones fan yet, although he should beat everyone at 205 including Rashad. But if Rampage can do well early on against Jones' wrestling, Rashad is a far better wrestler and much faster, more explosive and more dynamic of a fighter, so he should make it really competitive.

wow an 11er that speaks sense. imagine jousting where your stick is 15 feet long and your opponents is 9. now factor in never fighting an A+ level jouster. then factor in going way out of your way to joust in a neighborhood where the jousters aren't as big, or as talented (MW). "omg! he's the greatest! a silva! woo hoo! look how he beat up those less talented short stick guys, woo!"

I deal EVERY single day with kids from 19-25 it is my job. What blows my mind is how cocky some of them are when they haven't accomplished a thing. This kid is the UFC LHW champ. That means the #1 guy in arguably the #1 division in MMA. And yet still people hate. Ya he is cocky but hell so are millions of people who have nothing to back it up with.

Yea it was a good win, but not as AMAZING as some people keep saying. Rampage actually looked good early on, but all he has is his hands. Jones was running from them all day and while he looked good and got it done, it was hardly an impressive win. Rashad will be the real test.
