A slimmed down Roy Nelson looked good against Mirko Cro Cop Saturday night at UFC 137, controlling throughout and winning by third-round TKO. But the big news came afterward, when the legendary Cro Cop announced his retirement.

"I knew before this fight this was going to be my farewell fight," Cro Cop said.

Nelson began his own post-fight comments by praising Cro Cop, the former Pride star who has had a fairly disappointing run in the UFC.

Yeah your point would be valid, if the moment you start watching MMA an UG account is created an a dove brings you your login data or something like that, but this isn't the case, i've been watching since 04 or so, the UG gui didn't appeal to me and i used sherdog, but as we all know sherdog is a piece of crap.He did gave up and you can't prove me wrong.

Well BRO, if you clicked on my profile you would see that my first fight was in 08, so you have to figure I was training and watching long before that. So yeah, I would think that would hold a little more weight than an account that was started 2 weeks ago lol. But thats really beside the point. Your first post came off as disrespectful to a legend, you seemed to be mocking him. You can say he "gave up", but in reality I think his body gave up on him. It is impossible for 99.9% of people to truly understand what this guy has been through in his career and what kind of toll it has taken on his body and mind. I really believe that was just cro cops body shutting down and saying enough. Part of me wishes he had retired after the GP, but he fought on to try and put on great shows for the fans. I think the least we ow him is some serious respect.And yes, if this was 06 that fight would have been a one sided blowout, so I certainly agree with you on that.

Yeah, one year of difference in our accounts CLEARLY differences our knowledge in MMA and shows how many time we have seen MMA, since the more you know in MMA the older your UG account becomes right? right?notLook bro, i was just noting that Crocop said he finally wanted to deliver but he gave up against a better fighter in this particular juncture, have this been in 2006 this wouldn't even competitive.
