Carlos Condit vs. Josh Koscheck at UFC 143

After Carlos Condit was bumped from his welterweight title shot against Georges St. Pierre by a mean-mugging Nick Diaz following Cesar Gracie fighter's UFC 137 win over B.J. Penn, he was promised a number one contender bout on the very same Feb. 4, 2012, Super Bowl weekend fight card.

And now he's got it.

That's because UFC President Dana White today revealed at the UFC 138 post-fight press conference that Condit is booked for the card and he'll be taking on recent title challenger Josh Koscheck at UFC 143 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

I disagree. I consider those 3 fighters 3 of the toughest in the division. All 3 would give GSP a difficult time, and could possibly pull out a win (Kampmann being the most questionable, and that was Condi's introductory fight to the UFC.)

Possibly, all would be good fights. But Condits performances against guys like that shows hes not elite

Kampmann, Macdonald, and Ellenberger could all beat Koscheck, imo.

What fight has made you think hes anywhere near that level? When he struggled hugely against guys like Kampmann, Macdonald and Ellenberger? Good fighter but nowhere near the elite level

I'm not ready to jump on the Condit bandwagon just yet. Kos may be cocky, but he is a great wrestler with good power. This fight will either be just like the Kos/daley fight or the Kos/GSP fight

Great fight but yeah what do if Josh wins? I think condit will take him out but risky with a title shot looming

This should definitely be a 5 round co-main event. Gives Condit 5 rounds to find a finish, in case Koscheck blankets him for 3 rounds. Also it's been a while since Condit was in a 5 rounder, he'll need the practice for a grind against GSP.

I think you may be missing the point. People don't doubt his skills, they dislike his character because he is rude and disrespectful.
