NSAC pulls Riddle off the card for illness, just hours before fight time

The UFC just announced via twitter that Matt Riddle is off tonight's card.

First fight now 430 p - Matthew Riddle too sick to fight, so second fight of the night is off

MMAJunkie reveals that it was the Nevada State Athletic Commission that made the final decision.

The welterweight was scheduled to fight Luis Ramos on the event's preliminary card. The bout has been removed from the event, UFC officials today announced.

It's believed Riddle's weightcut may have contributed to his condition. MMAjunkie.com learned from sources close to the fighter that Riddle was vomiting throughout the day, and the Nevada State Athletic Commission pulled him from the contest mere hours before the event. Riddle was reportedly trying to persuade the commission to allow him to fight, but he was ultimately unsuccessful.

He also looked alright at the LVAC Wednesday night. I saw him at the one on FLamingo on an eliptical around 11. Didn't bother him but I did make the obligiatory fist gesture at him. He seemed to get a kick out of it.
