Earlier this week it was reported that Anderson Silva was back in the gym. "He's 100%," reported his Physiotherapist Angela Cortez. "I believe he'll be announcing his next fight soon enough."
However, in what is a now familiar pattern with Silva, things are not quite ready after all.
"I'm not even sure when I'll come back," said Silva on Globo TV's Good Morning Brazil. "Because I’m still with a shoulder injury, plus another injury arose recently in my lower back, so I’m getting treatment.”
Silva will also be working as part of the broadcast team for the Brazilian langauge version of UFC 142 televised in Brazil.
The Spider has been out of action since since defeating Yushin Okami at UFC 134 in August. He is expected to fight the winner of the UFC on Fox 2 co-main event - Chael Sonnen vs. Mark Munoz. With Anderson Silva, things are not always as expected.
