Johnson: I wasn't hurt, just tired

In his post-fight remarks following his first round loss to Vitor Belfort at UFC 142 last night (Jan. 14, 2012), Anthony Johnson explains that he really wasn't rattled by anything that "The Phenom" hit him with, but rather, was just tired.

"A loss is a loss. My legs just got really tired. I didn't get beat up in there and he really didn't hurt me with what he hit me with. I just got tired. I've got to figure this thing out."

Who didn't think he was going to gas after news of the weight cut gone awry was released?AJ has so much skill and talent, but man he needs a new manager or some common fucking sense. Wasted opportunities...

Man I've been able to read the UG lately but not post.Been wanting to say since even BEFORE this fight, that anyone who thought anthony johnson (I refuse to capitalize his name) was gonna stand n Bang, this was gonna be a stand up fight, etc. were MORONS.aj refused to stand with Dan Hardy (after talking of little else prior to the fight), did you really think he was gonna go in there and trade with Vitor? If you didn't KNOW he was gonna desperately try to take Vitor down then you're just stupid. aj only strikes with undersized grapplers that aren't a threat standing.

this is what I dont get, he looked good at 170 his last few fights, doesnt have to cut nearly as much for MW and looked way more tired and gassed then when he was at 170?

I like how aggressive he was out the gate. If only he could have kept that pace long enough to do something significant with it.....good thing you don't need the best cardio to stand in line at MCDONALDS.

Such a waste of talent. Rumble became Crumble again. I believe this guy could be top 10 in any weight category if he just got his diet, and weight cut on lock. He's never in a boring fight ( I enjoyed the Dan Hardy mauling by the way) and has great killer instinct. Its a shame his undoing will be the weight scale.

YOU HAVE TO BE WILLING TO LISTEN TO SOMEONE for that to work.what, you guys think he just doesnt know HOW to do it proper ?I am not willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, examine the TOTALITY of his character from day one.If I was DFW, AJ would get a real good taste of the minor leagues, and ONE FUCKING CHANCE when he did come back.Dude would be on probation for life
