I HATE how Rogan and others comment that "If Roy would only get in shape he could be competitive". Did Werdum take out Fedor, the greatest HW in the history of the sport? He could not end Roy, therefore, Roy IS competitive as a HW in his current physical state. Any additional argument is specious.

Loved the fight as well. I was sorry to see Roy lose.I mean you cannot help route for the guy. But i hope this made it obvious that the bigger guys as heavyweight are just to big of a problem with the height and reach advantages.Even if Roy bulked up on muscle mass he would have a problem with the bigger guys. Though i do think i always think he has a punchers chance i personally hope he will try to make to move to light heavyweight. Anyways i thought Roy's did not throw enough and telegraphed a little to much.He also walked into a lot that Werdum was dissing out (though he might be forgiven for this fact considering he ate shots early that would have knocked most people out). And even though it might be harsh to fault him on this,he never ''got of first'' enough to my taste. Just could not really get the distance down.As for Werdum,he looked pretty awesome.Loved his lowkicks and knees but then again they where not super smooth and where used against a much smaller and shorter guy. His striking looked better as well though i personally disliked his little clip (showing Roy where he was going to supposedly hit).Groundwork look great and ever (yes even though Roy got the escape, which was pretty slick).Still though Werdum showed signs of this stand-up with Overeem very shortly,it quickly burned out under the superior strenght of the dutch Hercules (dutch myself so bi biased ).I also do not see him developing enough smoothness in his standup to have a chance against jurior Dos Santos (to many gaps for someone with a good jab and longer reach). Personally i would like to see him against Cain. I prefer this fight above Mirr Werdum (which is,in my eyes, the easier fight for Werdum). It would be nice to see who's stand-up progressed better. And see if Werdum could get Cain in a choke.I would still give my preference to Cain but you never know in the sport and Werdum last performance gave a lot of new cause of blissful doubt. So thx to both Werdum and Nelson for a pretty great performance.

How the hell did Roy eat that knee. That was insane. What a beard on that guy.

Roy is 3-5 in his last8 , he needs to get his shit together, he wants to get credit because he takes beat downs better than anyone and looks like a a hobo, i like him but this is getting ridiculous.

IF mir took one of those knees, he'd get knocked back a week.

I still don't think Werdum could beat The Reem or JDS in a rematch but I can see him defeating Mir and being a toss up with Cain.
