The three magazines had a lucrative nudie war, until the arrival of the Internet.
The first thing ever printed on a press was the Guttenberg Bible, but the second thing was obscene images (it was probably some lady's ankle). So too with all new forms of media. The first thing ever published on the Net was 11001010 or something. The second thing was Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee.
