Fedor fighting in Russia in June, possibly against Bobby Lashley

M-1 Global Director of Operations Evgeni Kogan today announced Emelianenko will fight an unannounced opponent at a currently unspecified June 21 event.

According to Kogan, the June 21 event with Emelianenko, which is expected to be an M-1 show, takes place at the Ice Palace in St Petersburg, Russia.

Sources close to the event today told MMAjunkie.com that former WWE star and ex-Strikeforce fighter Bobby Lashley is under consideration for the Emelianenko fight.

With the UFC 146 pay-per-view event slated for Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena on May 26, that essentially rules out the possibility of Emelianenko fighting Junior Dos Santos.

Funny nobody has brought up the fact that Vadim was right, at least this one time, about not wanting to fight Overeem because he's a "steroid bully".

I love the way delusional haters like yourself always bring up the contract Fedor was offered, as if it was really so great. It wasn't. You are a fool if you think that a non guaranteed contract full of stipulations was actually the best contract ever. Lose a fight and the contract can be voided, win and you can never leave to persue more money elsewhere. On top of that, Zuffa owns your likeness forever. Maybe you are trolling. Maybe you are borderline retarded. Maybe you just have no business sense. Either way, that was a shitty contract for the best fighter in the world.

What makes you think Fedor is at all interested in fighting Overeem?

Fedor Emelianenko (33-4-0 1 No Contest, Mixed Martial Arts, 0-0-0 0 No Contest, Ultimate Fighting Championship) vs Alistair Overeem (36-11-0 0 No Contest Mixed Martial Arts, 1-0-0 0 No Contest, Ultimate Fighting Championship) would be the biggest non Zuffa fight this year but Dana won't fire Overeem for that exact reason.
